Cambodian American Health Forum

The Cambodian American Health Forum was held in collaboration with Brown Medical
School on January 13, 2007. The forum served two purposes. The morning sessions
provided healthcare providers, public health and service providers an
understanding of the complex needs of Cambodians as it related to diabetes, followed by a strategic
planning meeting with regional Cambodian community leaders.

New Mexico Meeting

On April 26, 2006 the NCADP team traveled to New Mexico for our annual meeting. We are truly grateful to our Native American friends and partners.
They provided much insight on community health workers models and diabetes promotion strategies and lessons from their
programs have added to our project significantly. For details on our trip, download the

Town Hall Meeting

A National Cambodian Town Hall Meeting was convened on April 17, 2006. The meeting drew over 400 people to identify
needs related to diabetes, to promote diabetes awareness and to develop community action plans to address diabetes
as one facet of a larger health emergency in Cambodian communities. This town hall meeting was the first national
meeting for the Cambodian community and was held in five states using a multi-point bridge. For more information,
